Why I am not losing weight
Too often we hear the same complaints, generally from the same type of person. This type of person appear to be, or say there aye ‘exercising’ all the time. They’re most likely to be the same people who you see at the gym walking on the treadmill, checking their phone or reading a magazine. We’re not sure if these people genuinely believe that this is exercise to them, or if they think that if they tell themselves that they’re exercising that they eventually believe it. The biggest problem people have when training is that they do most of their exercises at a relaxed pace. The value of high intensity exercise is either underestimated but for the most part, is rather unknown. Let’s say you pick 3 exercises. Now perform those 3 exercises with your maximum effort for 15-30 seconds, one after the other and then have a 30 second rest. Once you’ve had a rest do the same 3 exercises again, at the same pace. Do this about 5 times over, and you’ll feel like you’ve had a workout. The beauty of it is that you could be done in 10-15 minutes, but still have the benefits of a longer session at a lower level of intensity. If you incorporate HIIT (high-intensity interval training) in to a well structured training and nutrition program the results can be fantastic. It’s a great form of training with great responses from the body. We can’t stress enough how important your nutrition is when it comes to weight loss. We mentioned in a previous blog post that it’s not all down to exercise. You must have a healthy diet to work alongside your training.
